The Story
Every year in the fields of our estate in Poland we plant a few special varieties of potatoes and grains, searching for promising new ingredients to distill.
Once in a decade, if we are lucky, we discover an exceptional variety of potato that produces an unrivaled vodka.
Our 2016 growing season led to some of the finest vodkas ever made by our distillery. Harvested at the peak of summer, when still young and their skins still tender, these potatoes would produce a remarkable vodka.
After being carefully distilled to retain as much of their sweet earthiness as possible, the potato spirit was rested in 50-year-old oak barrels for two years, giving it time to mellow before being bottled by hand.
The result is Chopin Family Reserve, the world’s first rested, super-premium potato vodka. We suggest enjoying it neat or in a classic martini to fully appreciate this remarkable vodka.
The Mastered Martini
Combine Chopin Family Reserve Vodka and Dos Déus Origins Dry White Vermouth in an ice-filled mixing glass, then stir gently until cold. Once cold, pour into martini glass through a fine mesh strainer and garnish with a twist of lemon.
